this phrase “no turning back” is such a potent declaration because it expresses such courage and commitment. To be honest, I often wish I had such courage! Maybe god will put me in a position someday where I can prove that I do have this courage!

Right now, I only have a shadow of this type of commitment. Living in this world, I would have to say I am closer to the luke warm church in Revelation. The world and the flesh circulate in and through my life and I must confess I haven’t truly broken free of it. God has taken some big things out of my life and give me freedom, but to live every day in the light, all the time? Well, I’m not there yet.

I do strive on because that is what we are supposed to do. My level of courage may be weak, but it’s all I’ve got right now. I have to accept my weaknesses and at least turn and look forward, and step out.

This is where I fall on Jesus and depend on him for his help, believing in faith that things will get better.
