Thoughts on God and truth

Finding Peace at the End of Your Rope

in this mornings service I had many ideas that jumped out as confirmations of things I have been thinking about this past week. I love it when a sermon or the music resonates. It is almost like the Holy Spirit says to me, “you are on the right track!’

this morning I heard something important in one of the songs I think. God is waiting for us to resign our lives when we realize that we are at the end of our rope. I can attest that I stubbornly hold on to attitudes and behaviours, while god quietly tries to chip away at my will.

god never does and never will force us to choose him and his way. He waits patiently. I think of the old hymn “Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is calling”, and it is so, so true.

I could have avoided so much mental anguish and who knows what other positive things could have happened, if I had seen what I see now!

this morning the song “open the eyes of my heart” applies! It is so exciting to think about what god has in store for those that believe in him. This is another truth that is experienced only by those that know.

for ANYONE at the end of ANY rope, god is here with a rescue. God extends his hand of peace to any who will take it! It is that simple.

simply reach out to jesus and pour out your need. Then listen and wait. Jesus is more than willing to respond by his spirit.
