the Holy Spirit is the part of Jesus that he left behind to bring memory of him to us when we needed it.

it was a common practise in older times for people to have a locket that contained a memory like a piece of hair, or a picture inside. The one holding the locket could look inside or even open up to smell the hair inside to “bring back” the memory of closeness with the loved one.

I have one of these old lockets.

Jesus left us the Holy Spirit. Jesus went back to the father and dwells with the father now and he wanted to leave a reminder of himself for believers. The Holy Spirit is our proof of Jesus. When the Holy Spirit is apparent to us we have ‘evidence’ of Jesus.

when you feel the spirit, pray! The spirit calls us to pray to Jesus. That is the main purpose of the spirit, to bring us back to Jesus, all the time if possible. If we can listen to the Holy Spirit when he prompts us, we can be with Jesus spiritually.
