the devil forced you to make a conscious choice to turn away from god and choose your own way? Did the devil make you choose? Was your life in jeopardy when this happened? Was the devil threatening you and that made you choose your self over god?
I don’t think so. The devil does not have that power.
it doesn’t take all that much for us to turn away from god. We turn away from god quite happily, voluntarily. We do the devils work for him. He does want us to turn away from god but this is one thing he is not allowed to do. He can’t make us choose ourselves.
