Washed by water through the word (eph 5:26). This is talking about the Holy Spirit cleaning us through Jesus. John wasn’t playing with words when he said “in the beginning was the word”. Of course John is talking about Jesus, the word of god. Read it in John 1:1. Jesus here in this passage the “logos”. Nothing is more important, more ‘anything’ than the logos. Jesus is this logos. He IS logic, the logic that humans spout. Everything was created through him and through him all things are tied or knit together.
This logos, this word can be found in our physical world called ‘the word’, which is the bible. It isn’t that simple though. The bible, the physical words point to THE WORD, who is Jesus, the logos.
The Holy Spirit helps our human spirit interface with Jesus, the word, through the words of the bible. Italian is the spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit that helps us, leads us and speaks to us in our human spirit. He doesn’t need to use an audible voice, we have everything we need in the word. Prophecies and words of knowledge may still exist but shouldn’t we go to the word and exhaust that resource, that food, first?
