Our only “job” is to consent to stay hidden in Christ.
In the ancient Covenant of the Pieces, God passed through the fire alone while Abraham watched from the darkness. Today, that “fire” is the Holy Spirit, and the “burning pot” is Christ. If we tried to stand between the pieces of God’s holiness on our own, we would be consumed. But through our consent, we dwell in Jesus. He carries us through the fire. We are the protected observers of a miracle that only He could perform.
