We need Jesus to survive the weight of God’s glory.
Approaching the unshielded glory of the Infinite is like approaching a black hole—without protection, our “self” would be pulled apart (a process physicists call “spaghettification”). This is why Jesus is vital. Because He is made of the “same stuff” as God and the “same stuff” as us, He acts as our shield. By being “in Him,” we can look into the heart of the Infinite without being destroyed by the gravity of His holiness.
Jesus is the “Cleft in the Rock” where you are safe to witness the impossible.
